Q: I am not getting any relief from my headache. Can I return my Dr. Zaxx?

A: Headaches can be caused by an almost infinite number of things or combination of unrelated things. Anything from a food allergy to having a congenital heart anomaly can cause a headache. Complicating things, your particular headache may not always be
caused by the same thing each time. There isn’t a single cure-all for every headache. Although Dr. Zaxx works with a wide range of headache types, it won’t work for all of them. For this reason, we encourage our clients to try Dr. Zaxx over time. Our return
policy allows you to return your Dr. Zaxx up to 6 months after the date of purchase! This gives you enough time to try Dr. Zaxx on several occasions. If it doesn’t work for you, we will happily refund your money.

Q: How do I know when I have positioned my Dr. Zaxx correctly?

A: First of all, by placing your thumbs in the orientation grooves, you cannot physically place your Dr. Zaxx backwards. After that, the only thing you need to do is ensure that the nubs are placed in the correct spot. When placed correctly, the top of your spine should pass between the two nubs. Neither nub should be applying pressure directly on your spine. Next, the nubs should be placed just below the base of your skull. In fact, they should be close enough to the base of the skull that you can just barely feel the nubs touching your skull.

Q: What types of headache does Dr. Zaxx work for?

A: The original use for Dr. Zaxx was for a headache related to a whiplash injury. It is actually quite surprising how often, undiagnosed whiplash is the cause of headaches. Whiplash can occur in a number of different ways other than in a car accident. We have seen Dr. Zaxx work on a number of different types of headaches ranging from a hangover, to migraines. More often than not, Dr. Zaxx has worked for whatever type of headache it has been tried with. One instance where it hasn’t worked is with my husband. He gets a headache, maybe once a year. When he does, he takes 2 Aspirin (he hates Tylenol because of the possible side effects) and is fine. I cannot say what type of headache Dr. Zaxx will work with. Researchers still don’t know what causes headaches. There are simply too many variables to be able to say with certainty that Dr. Zaxx will work for you. What I can do is say that I have found Dr. Zaxx to be effective in most cases. I can also offer you a risk free guarantee. Try Dr. Zaxx for up to 6 months. If it doesn’t work for you, simply return it for a refund.

Q: How long does it take for Dr. Zaxx to work?

A: It typically takes about 2 minutes for Dr. Zaxx to start working. Providing you are not experiencing particular discomfort when using Dr. Zaxx, you should use it for up to 5 minutes and no more than 3 times a day. If your headache is gone in less than 5 minutes, simply stop at that point. If you still have a headache after 5 minutes, you should stop using Dr. Zaxx, try relaxing for a while, and try your Dr. Zaxx again after half an hour.

Q: Can I use Dr. Zaxx with my prescribed medicine?

A: Dr. Zaxx is a safe and effective way to help alleviate your headaches. It does not interfere or react to any prescription or over-the-counter medicine. The only time you should be concerned about using Dr. Zaxx is if you have a neck injury. In that case you should consult with your medical practitioner before using Dr. Zaxx.

Q: How does Dr. Zaxx work?

A: Dr. Zaxx works by addressing “trigger points” related to muscles on and around the skull. When pressure is applied to a trigger point, after a while, the muscles associated with that trigger point “release.” The relaxation of the muscles targeted by Dr. Zaxx seem to have an alleviating affect on headaches.

To be fair, prescription drug manufacturers often do not understand exactly why their drug works. They know that it does in some cases and that is enough. Unlike prescription drugs, Dr. Zaxx can address both the symptoms as well as the cause of your headaches. By relaxing the muscles in your neck and skull, your vertebra are able to re-align themselves (the body has wonderful repair abilities) and thus prevent future headaches. A drug may mask the pain, but it does nothing to address the cause. If your headaches are a result of allergies, or a more severe ailment such as a heart defect, Dr. Zaxx can still help with the pain, without the need for drugs, but the underlying cause should be addressed by a medical professional.

Q: It hurts when I use my Dr. Zaxx. Should I stop using it?

A: Similar to when you go for a therapeutic massage, there will be some discomfort. The act of applying pressure is sure to cause at least some discomfort no matter where on the body it is applied. With Dr. Zaxx, you will feel some discomfort. If what you are feeling is pain and your body is telling you to stop doing this, then you should listen to your body and discontinue use of Dr. Zaxx. The pain is likely the result of a neck injury and you should consult with a chiropractor or other medical professional prior to trying your Dr. Zaxx again.

Q: Is Dr. Zaxx safe for children?

A: Yes, Dr. Zaxx can safely be used by children, or even those who act like children. However, because Dr. Zaxx is a one-size-fits-all, small children (under 5 feet tall) should refrain from using Dr. Zaxx.

Q: Is there anything else I should be doing besides using Dr. Zaxx to alleviate my headaches?

A: Dr. Zaxx is usually only a starting point to your journey to a headache and drug free future. If you are looking to treat the underlying cause of your headaches you should read the section on our Web site entitled Headache Education.
